Undergraduate Research Activities

The College of Science has a strong commitment to supporting undergraduate research.  Students within the College work side by side with faculty who have significant research experience in disciplines ranging from astronomy to zoology.  Our students have been very successful in presenting their work at local, regional, and national meetings, and publishing their results in peer reviewed journals.  Not only does undergraduate research complement the excellent in-class education that all students receive, but the experience obtained through participation in an undergraduate research project is an important component in preparing the student to enter the workforce, or successfully apply to graduate school, or to medical, dental, and other professional schools.
